I have a Groove Guide Pro 600 and I think its a cool tool for building confidence and accuracy.
I find that with higher speeds my tempo jumps around alot, generally 10-20BPM at speeds greater than 200BPM. I know its mostly me since I am an amateur drummer. I don't get to practice too often.
I was just wondering what some other people's experiences are with these things and how well you can control the tempo displayed on this thing! Thanks!

Hi Michael,
I use a Roland module with two pads adding sounds to my acoustic kit and use it also as a metronome. I suggest programming a simple beat and play along. After you are confident with the groove you start to place your snare before or/and after the snare you have programmed. After feeling comfortable with the snare do exactly the same with the bassdrum. This way you learn to play laid back, on top or in front of the beat which can help you to create an illusion that you're going a little faster in a chorus for example without sacrificing the tempo. Then hold it back in the verse and you create a natural flow in the music while you are sticking to the tempo. Good luck, Jean-Paul, the Netherlands
